Would You Rock It? Turbans

Turbans were all over the 2010 Runway shows. Do you care? What would it take for you to rock a turban? Would you need to see a celebrity wear it? Who? There are some photos of J-Lo and Beyonce rocking them a couple of seasons ago, but it didn't really inspire me (you can Google that). I might rock the turban trend, but in a very unexpected way. Maybe pushed back or maybe the new turban-like headbands like the ones featured below. I think the right chick could SHUT IT DOWN in a turban. So, would you rock it?

Scope out this knitted turban beanie from Forever 21. It's made with a soft sweater-like material and features a peep-hole front with a self-tie bow accent. It's only $5.80.

True style is about individuality, if you have "IT" you don't need to wait for some celebrity to do it first to build up your confidence. Confidence is one of the best accessories a woman can wear.

I wear one when I want to convey a certain look and they look great for Fall and Winter. It doesn't matter whether they are made from an African print fabric, like a batik or made of velvet or jersey. It's a part of my heritage and I will always wear one.

However, I have been seeing my favorite Stylista, Shala Monroque wearing one quite frequently and this lady has her own style.

Even though modern fashion makes money off of women by plastering images of celebrities and models in ways that are unattainable for the majority of women. It's liberating when a women can chose not to buy into what is the ideal look.

Do you and rock your own style!

i don't think i would even attempt to buy one just because i feel as though this is just another trend that has come and will go away sooner or later

I would not rock a turban, they just look Grandmotherly and too fadish to me.

Celebs wear a lot of styles for attention and most of the team, they just do not translate to real life.

Ommmmmm, is it just me, or does this turbin trend remind you of the older "mothers" of the church. You know... the older ladies at church who strut in with their canes? Sorry guys... won't be trying out this trend - reminds me too much of my grandmother and her sidekicks. :)

I would love to wear one.. I think that it has a political statement like the israeli>palestinian scarves.. Whether one realizes or not.. I love when fashion and politics clash plus I wouldn't mind having something fly to cover up my bad hair days (cringes)
