My Stylist Won't Let Me Go Natural

A reader says: "Reading Mane AND Chic makes me want to go natural, but I just don't think my stylist would agree to it.

  1. A: You're an adult and it's your head. Nobody has to "allow" you to do anything to your own body.
    B: Your stylist is working for you. You are paying her to perform a service. She has to listen to you, not the other way around. I agree, you need a new stylist pronto.

  2. Yep, it's one thing if you're hesitant but you can't let anyone tell you what to do with your hair.

  3. Ex-CUSE me? You're paying somebody to do your hair and asking permission from them at the same time? Are you SERIOUS?

    You need to grow a pair and remind that stylist what they're there for. If they still won't listen, THEN you need to walk out and find someone who will listen to what YOU want.
