Your Hair and Company
Do you get lax with your hair when you have company or maybe when you're staying out over night? Maybe you forget to wrap it up? Maybe you want to be cute and sleep bare-headed? Or are you so vigilant that you don't care who is around and wrap your hair in satin/silk by any means necessary?

I have to admit, I been lazy all the way around here lately. I think it's because I am unemployed. So I have not done anything except for wash and deep condition it. But in normal cases with company heck yes I put on my satin bonet. Even if I doze off for a little while I will wake up and put it on.
ReplyDeleteI wrap my hair nomatta what. If im over a friends house, company over, even if my significant other is around ima protect my hair even how tired i am. I just dont feel right going to bed with out my scarf.. My hair is more imprtant then what people think of me!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I’m with my partner, who hates the look of scarves and bonnets, but hasn’t figured out that he should buy me satin pillow cases, I tie a large satin scarf around the pillow. This way he can be happy and my hair is still relatively safe.
ReplyDeleteI definitely don't wrap my hair i people are going to see me sleeping. I guess I just feel self conscious about it. I have a white bf who's never had to see a girl with these "problems" aka crazy morning hair or needing to wrap to keep a style. It's hard breaking the news that you don't wake up every morning with your hair lying flat naturally and looking ready to go in 5 minutes or less.
ReplyDeleteI'm newly natural (3 months,) but so far have been vigilant. I'm unemployed, so I think I have more time to focus on this. If I have to start traveling again for business, though, that will be a challenge. I've been experimenting with products to see what works best.

ReplyDeletewhenever i sleep over someone's place, i never used a scarf or bonnet. i'd rather be cute. my hair will be alright for one night, i figure.
