Soft Bonnet Attachment

By Kai Chic

I am more of a hair tool junkie than a product junkie. I don't like to take chances when it comes to hair products. I'm super picky and generally stick to the same brands. However, I am a sucker for hair tools. Most recently I've been wanting this soft bonnet attachment. It's an attachment that you use with a blow dryer. Yes, I do have my beloved $400 Pibbs Dryer, but sometimes I want to just get in my bed and let my hair dry. I hate going to sleep with wet hair, so air drying is very annoying. I would set a timer and dose off with this on. Oh, but don't do that if you're a heavy sleeper... you don't want to cause any fires. The soft bonnet attachment would also be good look for travelers because it's so compact and could fold in one of those useless compartments on your suitcase. Also good for college students or women living in compact spaces, this is an inexpensive option especially if you already have a blow dryer. This retails for $9.99 at Sally's (click photo for details). You can also use it for deep conditioning treatments so instead of buying a heat cap, blow dryer and hard bonnet dryer, you can get all of them in one.

  1. How comfortable is it? From the pic, it looks a bit bulky but I would still want to try it out anyway. I don't think I'm getting a full DC from the heat wrap I have and the hard bonnet isn't cutting it either.

  4. omg let me tell you about this thing! I am also a hair tool junkie! I bought this same contraption from sallys for like $10 and wanted to use it as a deep condition heat cap. Well let me say....it didn't work. Once you hook it up to your hand held dryer, it just slowly floats off your head! It totally doesn't stay all nice and put like on the picture. I ended up getting what I originally wanted, the Gold N Hot Electric Conditioner Cap. It's awesome!

  5. I have one similar to this and LOVE it. I use it instead of my hard bonnet dryer to deep condition and dry my hair while I'm working in my home office.

  6. I actually have one and although it does work, it does not STAY on your head. You have to like hold it there with something. I've seen some with strings that pull the bonnet tighter but not this on in particular. Overall, it gets the job done.
