Another Day at N.A.P.S., Inc. (Natural Angels Protecting Sistahs)

by Monica Lake

Napparella, fly diva extraordinaire, was lounging around the N.A.P.S, Inc. office, picking her fro' when her coils started to tingle. There were some strands in trouble! She slicked down her fro' with some shea butter and was ready to roll.

Her coils pulled her towards Essence Salon where the evil Cracka-lynn was about to straighten up some poor sistah’s naps! Napparella burst through the door screaming, “Honey child you better stop the madness and leave those naps alone!” Cracka-lynn spun around armed with a spatula full of relaxer ready for war. “Well well well, if it isn’t Mrs. High and Mighty trying to spread that “brillo – philosophy” around. Well I sure ain’t with it!”

Napparella whipped around, her fro' creating a strong wind that knocked Cracka-lynn out cold. The Sistah in the chair looked on in awe at the beautiful woman hair shining like the morning sun, strands spiraling out of control in beautiful disarray. “Love who you are and what you have honey,” Napparella preached, “ kinks, curls, coils or waves, your hair is a treasure and you should treat it as such.” After equipping the sistah with shea butter, a denman brush and a link to maneandchic.com, Napparella returned to her office to await another call to save a strand in need.

  9. Thank you! I chose the name because a lot of people call relaxers "creamy crack" so I just played off of that.
