I am slapping myself for this now, but when I got one of those hard ghetto gel up-dos when I was around 15 years old because it was the "in" thing at the time. I was always skeptical about my beautician gluing tracks right on my hair, but after the first 2 times, everything seemed to go smoothly. When it was time for my 3rd up-do to come down, I washed it out like she recommended. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I got ready to blow dry my hair and I noticed I could see more scalp than usual in one area. I parted my hair to get a closer look and discovered a HUGE bald spot. I was so pissed. I didn't even want to call the beautician and tell her. I covered it up somehow until my hair grew in, but I learned my lesson. No more crazy gel-overloaded hairstyles.
