Men With Highly Textured Hair

Are there men in your life that suffer from poor self image because of the whole good hair/nappy hair debate? When choosing a mate, do you consciously or subconsciously seek a mate with a certain hair type even though you are forward thinking and progressive about your own hair? Do you think that the majority of men and women still only date people with certain hair types? Is this ideology still excessively prevalent in your family or circle of friends? 1. There are people who only date men because of their hair and thats so sad and pathetic. A lady from my church described her "dream man" as a man with good hair so the baby will have pretty hair. I wanted to slap her out of her chair!!!

Who does that!! who basis love on someones hair texture. I wonder will so call good hair get the bills paid or put food on the table? That really bothers me.

  2. Great Blog!
I think the men I know are secure in their hair image. My father wears his low cut afro, and has all his life. My little brother's texture is exactly like mine and he wears it very close cropped.
Hair is never a major factor when considering a mate...but I don't find men with ponytails attractive. :)

  3. my dad is half hispanic half west indian and he has so-called 'good hair' and he keeps it cut low.

i think a lot of young black men are affected by hair as well. it bothers me when i see them buying up wave grease and trying extra hard to create waves in their hair it's not that serious imo. i don't think it's that much of an issue with older guys though.
