Spoiled Strands: Alterna Ten Conditioner

At a whopping $160 for the 33 ounce size, Alterna Ten Conditioner claims to boost keratin, protect and intensify color and moisturize with the power of its Caviar Age-Control Complex™ and Enzymetherapy – The Science of Skincare for Hair™ technology. The product is infused with African Cacao Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Caviar Age-Control Complex, Photozyme Complex with Color Hold, Italian White Truffle, French Champagne Quality Grape Seed Oil, Bulgarian Evening Primrose, Moroccan Quail Bark, and Amica Flower.

Now, those are some pretty decadent ingredients, but is enough to make you buy it for your spoiled strands?

  1. HECK no! I'd be more likely to slap the president of Alterna than pay that amount.
Some people can make this and I can bet it would cost less than a quarter of the the amount they are asking for.

SN: Nice ingredients. I would definitely try it but I can't afford a $160 trail run.

  2. Does my hair really need Italian White Truffle or French Champagne Quality Grape Seed Oil? I would think no. Although the ingredients look good, I have a feeling that this conditioner wouldn't achieve any greater results than you'd get using a good natural product from your health food store. This, ladies, is just a money grab.

  3. Nope. I don't care how much I love my hair, $160 for some caviar-containing conditioner is just not gonna fly over here. Pantene Pro-V will have to do LOL.

  4. I'd rather pay for a hair color and a nice cut. NEVER that much for hair product!
