As far as fashion goes, what would you like to see more of on Mane & Chic?
Mane & Chic strives to stand apart from other hair and fashion blogs by really listening to what the readers want and trying to create something new. I don't want to copy or give you more of the same. You should feel like I'm speaking directly to you. I've tried to focus on wardrobe building and working with what you already have to create your look and also finding exceptional pieces that you love to add to your wardrobe. I don't believe you need to spend tons of money on clothes especially in this economy; however, I do feel you should treat yourself to a few new items every season that you just absolutely adore that will also fit seamlessly into your wardrobe.
So, where do you need more fashion/style help?
Leave your suggestions in the comments or e-mail me with specific questions like what to wear to a wedding or how to get more wear out of a specific item in your wardrobe (send photos).
I LOVE your blog. I check everyday. It’s really the first site that I could relate to. Thank you for all the info about clothes and hair. Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your fashion sense and the research that you do to bring us the latest in trends. I would love to see more posts on putting a look together or ways to accessorize a basic piece for different occasions.
ReplyDeleteLove the blog. One fashion question is, I have tons of pashminas and wear them a lot in the winter. Can you do a feature on how to wear them in the summer and some examples of some looks?

ReplyDeleteVINTAGE help desperately please. Where to find the best vintage online, what to pay for, etc.
ReplyDeleteAlso, for fashion - maybe the look for less. As much as I hate her, her stylist is phenomenal Kim, KHLOE, AND KORT Kardashian (Monica Rose is her stylist), Kelis, Kristin Cavalari, Wendy. Some black curly girl's fashion would be great.
PLUS, keep the curly girl interviews coming!
I have someone's curls I've been admiring from afar already for you. She writes for her fashion blog (afractionoffashion). HER CURLS are to die for - period!
Please get the dets on her routine.
Thanks so much for your great blog and even caring about our feedback.
Also more exact video hair routines for curlies.
ReplyDeleteMaybe some guests posts from fellow fashionistas and curlies.
I'm a broke college curly, so maybe more hot clothing under $50 or under $100? Also I agree with Ashli more videos! Thank you, I really love this site and visit it every day
ReplyDeleteI won't be doing videos. There a lots of girls on YouTube that make amazing videos. It's not my thing. I can probably share links of awesome hair YouTubers as I see them, but I detest making videos. Sorry, no can do, but I will work on a list of video links to awesome hair videos. In fact, I think it would be a good idea to add it in the pink nav bar up top as "Hair Videos" or something.
ReplyDeleteOh, but we are talking about fashion, style and wardrobe building. I do care about your feedback and you will see some of these on the blog soon.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I have a lot of big ideas that are in the works and I can't wait for you to see.
@Ashli Norton... I love modcloth.com for vintage... Hands down. OMG my favorite!
ReplyDeletewell i am a broke college student...so advice on how to spice my style with like zero dollars would be great...if that's possible lol
ReplyDeleteYou really do a great job on the site. One fashion thing that I desperately need help with is how to flatter my figure. I can put stuff together to look good (color and pattern-wise), but I don't get how to make my specific shape (hourglass, firmly curvy) not look big and blocky. Especially when it comes to jeans and casual looks. I think it's something that a lot of people have trouble with. Thanks for all your hard work!
ReplyDeleteshow hats that will actually fit on top of big natural hair, lol
