What do you think is more liberating wearing your hair truly natural and wild or shaved bald?
The argument for natural would be that you don't worry about your at all... it's the least of your worries... you just let it do whatever it wants. You detangle and wash it but you don't spend a lot of time styling or manipulating it. Think dreds, afros or wearing turbans and head wraps most of the time.
The argument for bald would be that you can't be bothered with hair at all, but you do spend quite a bit of dough on weekly appointments to maintain the cut.
So, what's more liberating?
having done both...i would have to say bald/really short. especially as a woman, it's a great feeling. no more fussing about styling, products, hair accessories. my first year of college i had not a comb, gel, bobby pins, elastics or anything! it definitely says something about the person
ReplyDeleteCutting it all off is MUCH MORE liberating! When I cut my hair off I felt so much more free. While wearing it natural I would still have to go through the hassle of conditioning and all that stuff but with it shaved I really don't have much to wash and I don't have to worry about much but maintaining the cut! Shaved = Liberation!!
