Today, we learned from guest blogger Anita Grant of anitagrant.com, some of the beauty benefits of okra and it reminded me of a product called Okra from Lush.
Product Claims:
Okra is for hair in phenomenally bad condition, hair which has been bleached or coloured too often, hair which is naturally fizzy, hair which has been permed, heated and hot-curled into submission. It's full of plant infusions to help you get your hair into shape, including Okra, the green vegetable with white seeds in the middle. If you boil it, it turns into a mucilage which softens up mistreated hair. Nettle, vinegar and rosemary oil make hair shiny again and help tone the scalp. Use it when you've done horrendous things to your hair and are ready to apologize.
Price:
Okra retails for $26.99 for a 16.9 ounce bottle and $17.95 for the 8.4 ounce bottle at Lush.
Ingredients:
Fresh Okra Infusion (Abelmoschus esclentus), Corn Silk Infusion (Zea mays), Nettle Infusion (Urtica dioica), Mountain Grape Decoction (Berberis aquifolium), Cetearyl Alcohol and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Balsamic Vinegar, Lavender Oil (Lavandula augustifolia), Rosemary Oil (Rosmarinus officinalis), Lanolin, Centrimide Bromide, *Citronellol, *Eugenol, *Geraniol, *Linalool, Perfume.
Have you tried okra in your hair care regimen either the product by Lush or the actual vegetable? Do these posts make you curious to try it? Please share in the comments!
I'm oh, so, curious and have had a mini crush on Lush ever since I tried their Mask of Magnaminty. I might have to try Okra this summer.
ReplyDeleteI have not tried Okra yet--but I follow Nadia's blog(Regal Bal) and her Shescentit website...
