Showerheads are great for scalp massages. There is also another huge benefit to using a filtered showerhead. If you have hard water or are concerned about the amount of chlorine (and other stuff) in tap water, I strongly suggest getting a showerhead with a filter. You can use the most expensive natural organic products in the world, but if you're still using tap water those products cannot reach their full potential and neither can your hair. I've been using showerhead filters for three years now. I've lived in a couple of different places and actually replaced the existing showerhead wherever I go. They are easy to install and the benefits are amazing. Don't beleive me? See Dr. Oz talk about it on Oprah.
I recently purchased a Sprite shower filter for one of my bathrooms and my hair and skin are lovin' it. It's the only shower that I'll get in in the house. I do plan on getting a shower filter for the other bathroom, also.
ReplyDeleteI wash my hair in the sink most of the time. Do you know of any filters for the sink?
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't recommend washing your hair in the sink. There are tons of water purification systems for sinks for washing your dishes, cooking and whatever else, but again... I do not recommend washing hair in the sink. Most women I know only wash in the shower. There is a big difference, but to each her own.
ReplyDeleteIs there a shower filter you can recommend? I'm a student, so I need something cheap that can be moved alot.
ReplyDeleteAlaina, you can click on the photo of the showerhead in the post to be taken to Amazon. That's a pretty good filter. You should definitely read the customer reviews and find one that you like. I'm due for a new one soon but it will be awhile before I write about that.
ReplyDeleteI do both, wash in the shower and the sink. When I use the sink I use filtered water from my frig. as a final rinse with cold water. This leaves my hair shiny and smooth. I think it's a decent substitute.
