Shampoo can really do a number on curly hair. My experience is that most shampoos strip my hair or make it a nightmare to detangle. I use sectioning as a method to decrease the chance of matting and I also shampoo with an applicator bottle. Washing should definitely be focused on the scalp and the applicator bottle aids in that process. I usually dilute my shampoo heavily: one part shampoo to 8 parts water and apply directly to my scalp. Using this bottle makes it easier to dilute the shampoo and apply directly to the scalp. It decreases matting and just makes cleansing a much easier process. I also use an applicator bottle to apply my apple cider vinegar rinses. I use the entire bottle and do not store products once they have been diluted.
Awesome idea! Thanks for sharing.
