Worked: Look 11 Tailored

One way I get more wear out of a dress is to layer it with a cute top and belt it. I found this top at TJ Maxx. It was labeled as a size small, but it was way too big for me. What do I do when I love something, but it's too big or isn't hugging the curves up to my standards? I take it to a tailor and get it altered. This typically costs $10-20 for a shirt and I've paid up to $35 to get a designer dress altered. It is always well worth the price because now I have a piece that I really love that I found at an insanely good price and it looks as if it was custom made for me. Don't sleep on getting your clothes tailored!

I'm wearing...
White button-down sleeveless blouse by Spense, $15-ish at TJMaxx
Tailored Leopard Print Pencil Dress, $64.25 on Asos
Skinny Leather Caramel Belt, $20 at Urban Outfitters
Pelle Moda ankle-strap platform sandal in "chocco vintage" (chocolate brown) $159 on Endless

How often do you get your clothes altered?
Very often
Not often
Never
