Worked: Look 14 Like To Take Chances

This outfit was more experimental than any of the other looks I've posted. I just paired my favorite pink blouse with the striped skater skirt, army green belt and cobalt blue suede shoes. Using wide belts this way makes it look like everything is one cohesive piece so it allows you to mix different patterns and colors.

I'm wearing...
Violet & Claire sleveless top in rose gold, $15-ish at TJ Maxx
Wide Elastic Belt, $13.53
Stripe Skater Skirt, $47.35
"Keep Up" blue suede pump, $75-ish on Endless

I thought this look was cool and perhaps a little off-the-beaten-path, but instead of me accessorizing this look, I am curious to hear your feedback. Using this outfit exactly as is (yes, the shoes and everything), what accessories would you pair with it? What kind of bag: a clutch, a hobo or a tote? What color? Please share in the comments.

Love it! I think I would pair it with a pink or orange clutch bag.

I like the look. I would suggest a blue hobo or clutch. The same color as your shoe. I would do a gold or neutral dangle earring. Nothing to big that would draw alot of attention. The shoe and the clutch would be the focal points you could say.

  4. I do like the look and fit of this outfit. I'm just a little on the fence about the blue shoe.

Perhaps, your nude pump OR a shoe that was one of the colors in the outfit would have tied the look together even more.

  6. I saw a rose colored hobo bag by Furla called the Carmen shopper in the August issuse of "O Magazine". When I saw this outfit I immediately thought of that. It's going to be on sale on ideeli July 19th.

  7. I really like this look actually. I think its my favorite so far. Very eclectic but so put together. And I've really loved each of those pieces separate throughout your series.

  8. The blue shoes make it more challenging, but you could go a number of different routes: match the shoes, match the belt, match the skirt, or come in with a completely different color like purple or maybe another pattern... the possibilities are endless. Chime in! What accessories would you pair this look with?

  9. I love this look, too! I think I would pair it with a grey clutch similar to the one in the 'Eyecatching Clutches' series on the sidebar.

  10. CUTE! definitely a neutral-esque colored clutch! but not one that matches the shoes because then it would seem like the clutch is there to justify the boldness of the shoes or vice versa. "thin" or chunky jewelry would work as well.

  11. I love it when we take chances on a look and it pays off! I'm also in love with metallics. I see a gold bag with this.

You can delete this comment but I just wanted to tell you that you called this look 13 when it should be 14.
