Praise, Pass or Ponder: Moroccanoil Oil Treatment

Everybody has heard about Moroccanoil Oil Treatment. It's been one of the biggest raves in haircare for at least of couple of years. It claims to de-frizz, strengthen, condition, revive, silken, impart sheen and smooth. Have you tried it and loved it, tried and it and wasn't impressed or are you just not interested?

  1. Want to try, but it's really expensive! Plus I'm an oil USER, I would finish the bottle in 2 snaps.

  2. Not sure why this would be any different from some other oils. Look at the first 3 or 4 ingredients: Ingredients in MoroccanOil:

Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Butylphenyl, MethylPropional, Argania Spinoza Kernal Oil (Aragan Oil), Linseed (Linum Usitatissimum) Extract, Fragrance Supplement, D&C Yellow-11, D&C Red-17, Coumarin, Benzyl Benzoate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone

  3. Moroccan oil is supposed to be pure oil, right? Well, argon oil to be exact. But this brand isn't pure argon oil so what's the purpose of buying it? Everyone I know uses it, but I feel like you can get it cheaper and in it's purest form.

  4. "tried it and hated it" should be a different category from "not interested" so we'll know who didnt like it and who just doesn't care

  6. The stylist I visit to get my hair blown straight suggested this to me for home maintenance. I bought it without really looking at it since she talked it up so much. But then I got home and felt so gypped when I actually read the bottle. And I didn't know how those ingredients would treat my hair long term. I took it back without even using it. I just couldn't reconcile the product with the price. And maybe it is a really good product, but I just don't think it should be marketed as "Moroccan Oil" in huge letters on the side of the bottle like that. O well... I wanted to be excited to use this!
