For those you haven't seen yet; I highly recommend going and seeing it. Couple of things to consider is that the title - "For colored girls" is a play on words; as the characters in the book and theater play; do not have names, but based on the colors of the rainbow (Lady in Red, Lady in Green). So in fact, this movie could have been made with an all white female cast, all latina cast, etc. The movie is about issues we face as women; and while we have made alot of progress over the last going on 40 years a lot the themes still exist in today's society. It might not be the fun, lighthearted Sex and the City fair; but is definately a great girls night out movie! I am sure most of you went to go and see the all white female cast; we should do the same and promote our black actress, don't you think?
